Title: New and having problems with f1 2009
Post by: bouncer1980 on November 03, 2009, 12:49:56 pm
Hi guys,

I'm totally new to rfactor (discovered it only yesterday)

What i did is the following:  I installed RFactor [PC-DVD] [English], that works fine.
After that I downloaded F1RL09-prunn-edition-10-fixed[1]. I start the game, everything works okay, but within BrawnGP cockpit view I cannot see my mirrors, because the view is too close to the steering wheel, I tried a little bit with the setting vertical pov, and when I put this value to 95, I can see my mirrors, but when steering the arms look very strange. I tried a diffrent car: Toyota, I can see my mirrors then, but my view is so low that I cannot see the track. What am I doing wrong. What I want is a view like in this shot:

I'm now downloading F1 trackpack 2009 V2.0 from this site and MS7XWDC.exe, maybe it's already solved with this update.

thanks for your help and patience with me

I maximized my seat to the far end of the cockpit in the BrawnGP, and still my mirrors doe not fully show, and then the arms become very annoying, looks very unreal, which car do you use?
I tried Toro Rosso, but then again strange arms (see screenshot)

you can remove arms in upgrade section of 'select a vehicle' menu.

ferrari has usable mirrors.

or you could you use 'virtual' mirrors - press  "3" in cockpit
