Hello, I was wondering how everybody feels about a topic where we can share our car setups. My idea is as follows: Everybody makes his car setup and then upload it to some filehosting. *rules* 1. fast lap must be driven with full load of fuel (for best comparisation) 2. Let AI drive your car (to remove influence of personal driving style, skip corners etc.) 3. one warmup lap, and 2 race laps 4. fastest race lap time is noted 5. upload the file and reply in this topic with: - name of track - fastest lap time - download link to the file To upload I suggest to use mediafire.com http://www.mediafire.comHere you can create a profile and add a folder there for your car setups.

I had a feeling this wasn't going to take off well with responses. I've noticed a lot of people are quite stingy when asking or sharing setups in games.
I'm curious what's the best/optimum wing settings, weight balance and brake bias for Silverstone? I'm in the low 1:20 mark .224 but I can't break into the 1.19's yet.

I think low 1:20 is already a fast time. I got self a low 1:21.
Silverstone is a track with long fast corners, front wing should be high. On the other hand, there are no long straights, so setting the gear ratio to a top speed of 330 km/h isn't usefull. First gear is almost not used during a lap, so extending the first gear gives you a option to shorten 2nd - 7th gear for faster acceleration a higher speeds.
But please share your setup. That's why this topic is here. or PM me to let me test it.

I've managed a 1:20.4 seen 2 other guys faster but just a few tenths.
all i've done is yweak the default abit. changed the gears and wings and tire pressure. otherwise pretty much left all the rest.

I'm still testing a setup but I finally managed to break into the teens. Got a low 1:19 at one point. Wasn't far hitting 1:18. I've never hit 1st gear on Silverstone. A rough 1:19.701, accidental pop into 7th at Priory. Only AIDS used auto clutch.

remember we use different physics in F1 2009.
make sure you are running on the Official 2009 Track Pack we use, too.

Is non kers messed up? I can't seem to break a low 1:20 without kers. Running a kers car and not pushing the button gets me into the 1:19's. In real life the cars were faster without kers. No dead weight to carry. This mod seems to be the opposite.
