can i stop my paddle shifters from going all the way down to neutral, it is very annoying when i accidentaly shift into neutral and then have to shift back up to 1st which causes a spin.

i know in real f1 it is impossible to get down to N on the paddles, you have to press the neutral button on the steering wheel or on the top of the chassis

No, there is a tweak that you can youse. Open your user.plr file and do this:
Repeat Shifts="4" Default="0" Repeat Shifts will eliminate annoying accidental repeat shifting in the heat of a great battle, this means you can shift gears without the fear of going from 3rd to 5th by accident. Other choices for repeat shift delay are listed in comments next to this setting. I use 4.
there r different options to choose from, works like a charm=)

hx , i'll try it
0 = no repeat shift detection, 1 = detect and eliminate accidental repeat shifts within 100ms, 2 = 150ms, 3 = 200ms, 4 = 250ms, 5 = prevent shifting again before previous shift is completed
