Hi, thanks Sponts for the link, very interesting reading.
However, I have found something which simplifies it and is relevant to rFactor
Increase Power setting= Increase understeer under positive throttle Increase Coast= Increase understeer under negative throttle Pump is for 4WD so not relevant here Preload affects how quickly the transition between power and coast differential occurs. For example, if you used a preload of 1 and slammed the accelerator down, you would get a very fast transition to whatever you power percentage was, the reverse would happen releasing the accelerator. With a higher preload the effects would be more gradual.
Basically the diff settings help you in and out of corners, Coast when slowing, power on accelerating out.
