Hi beeen doing some testing and have come up with 2 suggestions you can try if you are experiencing Crash To Desktop still.
1) Check in your Graphic card control panel that you are allowing Application settings to control graphic display e.g. with ATI check the box 'Use Application settings'. There could be a possible conflict between the game and graphic drivers.
2) Turn off your wireless receiver. I noticed when anyone came into the room the game crashed!!! It seems that when my receiver on the computer got a reduced signal from the router it would crash the game to concentrate on getting a better signal!!! Weird I know but had no crashes since. Of course this doesn't help if you are playing online!!! Might have to get a lead.
Hope this helps. Let me know if this solves any of your problems.
Happy Driving!!!
