Thought i had gotten over this with a fresh install on a new drive for rFactor only but after the 1.2 update i am getting the in game freezes again (about 5 secs) i have even tried without Nvidia drivers at all and with 2 different versions. Anyone have any idea how to fix it as i've tried everying i can think of. It was working perfectly in 1.1 with the fresh install etc but not with 1.2. Really do not want to go through the reinstall process again as this will be my 6th time. Any ideas would be very much appreciated as i can't even get through one lap without it cropping up. Cheers T

do you know how many files are updated in 1.2?
and what they do?
the rfm file - had the line F1Factor 2010 v1.1 changed to F1Factor 2010 v1.2 the damage file - had the Helmet line at the bottom removed
neither of these can cause 'freezing'

Try turning of your wireless connector to your router and allow the application to control your video card settings. Worked for me!!!

Have tried that alright but still getting the freezes, i am going to have a look at settings in the BIOS ie hyperthreading etc to see if there is something there.
