Hi everyone. I've been lurking here for a while but I'm having an issue with offline AI so I thought I'd join up to get some advice! I've been playing through a season offline and for some reason Vettel never pits. I've got fuel use turned off, but every driver other than Vettel pits at least once in a race. I usually play with 15 - 20% race distance and tyre wear at 5 or 6x, but I've tried loads of different race setups and he never still never pits. I've re-installed v3.1 and the offline championship add on but still no joy. Any ideas?
Thanks Chris

then In game, you must use the F1 2010 OFFLINE Track Pack - GPs noted with a *
F1 2010 Rd 05: Spanish GP*

OFFLINE Championship Series & Track [expansion pack] is online now
this will create an F1 2010 OFFLINE Tracks Directory
AI will now complete the races without pitting / & refuelling. they will gain an advantage from that, but will have to use just 1 set of tyres, so you will have an advantage of fresh tyres.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
you can edit the tracks .GDB files if you want the AI to Pit [but they will refuel, until / if we can find a fix]:
open the C:\Program Files\rFactor\GameData\Locations\F12010\F110_01\F110_01OFF.gdb file with notepad
add / edit:
PitStopStrategies { Kamui Kobayashi = 2 - 19,39 Felipe Massa = 2 - 18,36 Bruno Senna = 2 - 18,37 Robert Kubica = 2 - 20,40 Fernando Alonso = 2 - 18,37 Karun Chandhok = 2 - 20,40 Nico Rosberg = 2 - 20,40 Pedro de la Rosa = 2 - 19,37 Mark Webber = 2 - 16,39 Jarno Trulli = 2 - 17,36 Timo Glock = 2 - 19,38 Nico Hulkenberg = 2 - 20,40 Sebastian Vettel = 2 - 19,38 Jenson Button = 2 - 18,37 Rubens Barrichello = 2 - 19,38 Vitaly Petrov = 2 - 17,36 Lucas di Grassi = 2 - 20,38 Adrian Sutil = 2 - 18,37 Vitantonio Liuzzi = 2 - 19,38 Lewis Hamilton = 2 - 19,38 Heikki Kovalainen = 2 - 20,40 Michael Schumacher = 2 - 20,40 Jaime Alguersuari = 2 - 19,38 Sebastien Buemi = 2 - 18,37 }
replace these lines in your .PLR file:
AI Power Calibration="7" // Adjustments with AI strength (0=none, or add the following: 1=power, 2=gearing, 4=fuel) AI Fuel Mult="0.99000" // Additional fuel multiplier for AIs because of their driving style AI Tire Model="0.40000" // 0.0 = use AI peak slip, 1.0 = use player's dynamic slip, or a blend between the two (can be overrode in TBC with AITireModel) AI Brake_Power Usage="0.95500" // Fraction of theoretical brake power that AI attempt to use (can be overrode in HDV) AI Brake_Grip Usage="0.95500" // Fraction of theoretical brake grip that AI attempt to use (can be overrode in HDV) AI Corner_Grip Usage="0.97000" // Fraction of theoretical cornering grip that AI attempt to use (can be overrode in HDV) AI Max Load="40000.00000" // Maximum total load to set up theoretical performance tables (can be overrode in HDV) AI Min Radius="20.00000" // Minimum radius turn to set up theoretical performance tables (can be overrode in HDV)
AI Limiter="0.10000" // Range: 0.0 (no limiting) - 1.0 (limiting used to make racing closer but also make more driver differences on flat-out tracks) AI Mistakes="0.25000" // a range of (intentional) AI mistakes from 0.0 (none) to 1.0 (sometimes). Anything above 1.0 multiplies the frequency AI Realism="0.40000"

i've uploaded v2 of the OFFLINE Track Pack & Championship Series update
give it a try.
the F1 2010 OFFLINE Track list should have each GP noted by a *
the AI should not pit.
to control / add AI pitting follow the readme / post above

Wow, you work fast! I'm actually just about to go away for a week so I won't be able to try it out until I get back. I'll let you know if it fixes things though. Thanks again.

Make sure if you select the Offline Race series, you re-purchase your vehicle upgrades:
tires, FFB, camera views

I have the problem, that no times and rounds are counted in Silverstone. In the F1-2010offline version. In the normal version the laptimes work (but the course also has a different layout torwards the infield).
Can anyone help me?

Ok, i have found the bug: The OFFLINE Versions obviously do not contain their own .map files, but reference to the original ones. And with the track updates, i.e. Silverstone, the .map files are replaced, but the offline-version still references the old files. I'm no modder and i'm also not interested in this. I just had to find out where the problem is, since nobody her seems willing to help...
Long speech short: to solve this bug, install the 2010 trackpack (not the offline version) into a temporary folder again and copy the map-files from Silverstone (#07) into the corresponding game-directory.
