i just took a clean install of rfactor
added F1 2009 base by F1Ligue
added F1 2009 1.3 and 1.9
added the Mclaren rear wing / #s upgrade
added the mclaren files attached above

and get this:

but with Mclaren, you just install the files, NOT edit the .gen

You're not reading what I am saying.

I installed the McLaren files alone. From the attached files on the previous page. No editing. Went into the game, selected the McLaren and it spat up motor dialog errors, took a while to load anything in the rotating display and ended up with parts of the model missing.

The only editing I had done was to restore the default lines so I could get the cars back, (as if I hadn't installed the arms) or if I went online, anyone driving a McLaren there would have been a good chance my game would have crashed, because of the motor error dialogs that popped up.

i read what you wrote, and i did this:

so, i don't know what to tell you, besides try the above in a completely new folder and see what happens & report the results here -- i'll try to help, but i need you to do the above 1st
